Hygienist

HEALTHSOURCE OF OHIO seeks a mission-driven Hygienist to provide comprehensive preventive and therapeutic dental care in our community health center. In this team-based role, you will deliver cleanings, periodontal therapy, radiographs, and patient education for diverse populations while maintaining strict infection control standards. You’ll collaborate closely with dentists and integrated primary care and behavioral health teams to support whole-person, patient-centered care in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Provide preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene services, including cleanings, periodontal therapy, and patient assessments

Obtain and interpret dental radiographs, periodontal charting, and comprehensive oral health records

Deliver patient-centered oral health education and counseling tailored to diverse populations

Collaborate with dentists and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement treatment plans

Maintain strict infection control, sterilization, and OSHA/CDC compliance standards

Accurately document care in the electronic health record (EHR) and support quality improvement initiatives

Support the mission of a nonprofit FQHC by improving access to high-quality, affordable dental care

Dental prophylaxis and periodontal therapy

Periodontal charting and assessment

Dental radiography (digital X-rays)

Local anesthesia administration

Infection control and sterilization

Electronic health record (EHR) documentation

Fluoride and sealant application

Oral health education and counseling

Instrument sharpening and maintenance

Interdisciplinary care coordination
