In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operation, preventive maintenance, and repairs heavily focusing on, and including, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety and fire protection systems to ensure proper facility operations. You will maintain and operate equipment that supports a variety of operations - labs, clean rooms, office space, plant equipment, data centers, and warehouses. They will work closely with senior level Mechanics for guidance & prioritization.
This role is onsite at our Memphis Airways location and will be first shift: 7AM - 3:30PM, Monday - Friday
- Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment
- Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding
- Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment
- Uses hand and power tools
- Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment
- Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications
Must Haves
- High School Diploma and 4+ years of Facilities experience
- Shelby County Boiler License
Nice to Have
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
- Boiler License 1st Class
- Experience with wastewater treatment systems and RO/DI (Reverse Osmosis/Deionization) water systems
- Electrical experience
- General knowledge of dock door repairs
- General knowledge of paint, sheetrock and concrete repair
- Knowledge of Air compressors
- Knowledge of material handling vehicles
- Knowledge with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Knowledge with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Knowledge with Fire/Life Safety Systems
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
