Preventative Maintenance Technician

Join the dynamic team at Waste Connections, where we are looking for a dedicated Preventative Maintenance Technician to help keep our fleet safe, road-ready, and operating efficiently. What You Will Do:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks and equipment.
• Engage in maintenance on electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and air systems.
• Utilize diagnostic software and tools to identify and rectify issues.
• Respond promptly to road calls and execute emergency repairs.
• Complete repairs based on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
• Test drive trucks post-repair to ensure functionality.
• Assist other mechanics when needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe shop environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with drivers and team members.

What We Are Looking For:

• Proven experience working with diesel vehicles.
• Comfortable using diagnostic tools and performing preventative maintenance.
• Possess a basic personal tool set.
• Experience with hydraulics is a plus.
