Owner Operator CDL-A Truck Driver

Knight transportation is looking for experienced CDL-A truck drivers to contract with the team as an Owner Operator. Operate under Knight’s authority and gain access to Knight’s nationwide fuel network savings with a fuel protection program, maintenance program, and trailer pool.

Compensation

• Average weekly net settlement of $2,000
• National freight network – Dry and Refrigerated
• Average 2,200+ weekly miles
• No forced dispatch

Required Tractor Specifications

• Tractor must be seven years or newer
• Wheelbase must be less than 265 inches
• Sliding fifth wheel height of 47.5 inches or less
• 3-axle with sleeper
• Governed at 68mph cruise, 70mph pedal (Knight covers cost)

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid Class A license
• 9 months of Class A experience within the last year or 1 year of Class A experience within the last 5 years
• No DUI within 5 years or 10 years if CDL holder at time of DUI
• No more than 1 preventable accident in the past 2 years, no major accident within 5 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug tests
