The Wastewater Treatment Technician treats bulk hazardous & non-hazardous waste waters, in accordance with environmentally responsible and cost-effective ESOL policies, practices and procedures. Job requires maintenance of records, accuracy and attention to detail, the ability to follow instruction and to work independently once proper training provided.
Process and treat hazardous & non-hazardous waste waters using various reagents
Attach hoses to the tanker trucks
Load and unload materials from tanker trucks
Conduct Tanker washouts as needed
Run the filtration systems – Filter press, drum vacuum press, and various pumps
Daily record keeping and maintenance of various record logs and data
Track information in the WNS program
Perform general housekeeping and clean up duties as needed to include daily inspection of tanks and tankers
Manage equipment and conduct minor pump maintenance and repairs as needed
Perform related work and additional duties as requested/assigned by supervisor
Pay rate starts at $25.00
Basic Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
2 or more years working with wastewater treatment
Preferred Requirements:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Environmental Sciences
Knowledge in hazardous waste and wastewater treatment
