Job Summary We are looking for a Receptionist who provides administrative and customer service support for a home health agency. Responsible for answering and directing telephone calls, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, processing referrals, and supporting clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient daily operations and excellent patient service. Key Responsibilities and Duties - Answer incoming telephone calls, respond to general inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members. - Greet patients, family members, referral sources, vendors, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. - Receive, process, and distribute incoming mail, faxes, and electronic communications. - Assist with intake of new patient referrals by collecting demographic and insurance information and ensuring documentation is complete. - Schedule patient visits and coordinate appointments with clinical staff as directed. - Prepare, organize, scan, file, and maintain patient records in accordance with agency policies and confidentiality requirements. - Verify patient information and ensure accurate data entry into the agency's electronic record system. - Monitor office supplies and notify the Administrator when inventory requires replenishment. - Maintain an organized, clean, and professional reception area. - Assist with copying, scanning, filing, and other administrative tasks to support agency operations. - Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with HIPAA, agency policies, and applicable federal and state regulations. - Provide excellent customer service to patients, caregivers, referral sources, physicians, and other healthcare partners. - Participate in annual in-service training and maintain competency in assigned administrative responsibilities. Education & Licensing - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Additional education in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred. Certifications - None required. Experience - Minimum of 1 year of receptionist, administrative assistant, or customer service experience. - Healthcare or home health experience preferred but not required. - Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred. Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Work Location: In person
