Job Description

Provide and train others to deliver exceptional customer service by helping people live healthier lives. Treat customers and employees fairly and ethically, ensuring a safe, clean, inclusive environment. Provide direct patient intervention with health and wellness services as allowed by state and federal laws. Responsibilities

  • Support company health and wellness initiatives.
  • Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain current national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required.
  • Administer vaccinations, point of care testing, complete Technician Product Verification, and undertake other advanced pharmacy technician duties as allowed by state law.
  • Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist’s professional judgment.
  • Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing steps.
  • Provide day‑to‑day training support for pharmacy associates; monitor and assist new techs through the technician training program (except California).
  • Lead by example to enforce department standards.
  • Represent store‑wide meetings/huddles when necessary.
  • Support workflow and pharmacist oversight through shift leadership, delegating station rotation and resolving issues.
  • Act as pharmacy safety subject‑matter expert, recognizing opportunities and coaching for compliance.
  • Comply with and reinforce sanitation and safety regulations, identifying unsafe conditions and notifying management.
  • Enforce local, state, and federal regulations; report illegal activity such as robbery, theft, or fraud.
  • Perform all essential job functions and tasks of a Pharmacy Certified Technician.
  • Execute job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year of Pharmacy Certified Technician experience within the Kroger enterprise (except California).
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Completion of company‑approved Technician Product Verification program and ongoing maintenance requirements.
  • Completion of company‑approved Point of Care training program and ongoing maintenance requirements.
  • Completion of company‑approved practical immunization training program and ongoing maintenance requirements.
  • Active enrollment in American Heart Association Basic Life Support course.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated, organized, able to prioritize, plan, and meet deadlines.
  • Proven attention to detail and stellar customer service skills.
  • Completion of national and/or state registration, certification, or licensure as required.

Desired

  • One year of experience in a management or supervisory role.
