ABOUT THE JOB

Excellent opportunity for a professional with expertise in medical billing and coding. We seek a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller and Office Manager to join our team. This is an opportunity for someone very independent and self-led, who can potentially lead the entire department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate coding and maintaining medical records. This role requires a solid understanding of coding systems, insurance billing protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and friendly office environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies.
  • Review client records for accuracy and completeness before billing.
  • Utilize ICD-10 coding system to ensure proper coding of diagnoses and procedures.
  • Follow up on unpaid claims and manage the medical collection process.
  • Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries.
  • Maintain organized clinical records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in billing regulations and coding practices.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies related to patient accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expertise required in medical billing for ABA or a related field.
  • Familiarity with medical coding systems (ICD-10) and terminology is essential.
  • Strong understanding of ABA office operations and procedures is preferred.
  • Experience with resubmitting claims and collections is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Specifically, we use Office Puzzle and several insurance portals.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
