Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Certified Medical Assistant/Receptionist role based in Tracy, CA. The role includes rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting with examinations and procedures, and supporting clinical workflows as directed by providers. Day-to-day tasks also involve managing patient check-in and check-out, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance and demographic information. The Certified Medical Assistant/Receptionist will help maintain accurate medical records, process paperwork, and ensure exam rooms and common areas are clean, stocked, and organized. The role requires consistent, professional interaction with patients, attention to detail, and coordination with the clinical and administrative teams to support smooth office operations.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Medical Assisting skills, including taking vitals, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with in-office procedures.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology to support accurate communication with providers and proper documentation.
  • Candidates should possess experience in a Medical Office setting, including front desk reception, appointment scheduling, and basic billing or insurance verification.
  • Candidates should possess Patient Care skills focused on professionalism, empathy, and maintaining patient comfort and confidentiality.
  • Candidates should possess familiarity with Medical Records management, including charting, updating patient information, and handling records securely in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) and current CPR/BLS certification are strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer applications; prior experience in a physician office is beneficial.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients throughout the day, and to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff.
