Barista

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating an exceptional café experience for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and providing outstanding customer service. Your role is crucial in ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile and a desire to return.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
• Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and payment handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating.
• Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash transactions and perform basic math calculations for sales.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards during food preparation and handling.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee, pastries, and supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.

Skills

• Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred.
• Proficient in using POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS).
• Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons.
• Familiarity with food safety practices and food handling regulations.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions.
• Experience in food preparation and service within the food industry is beneficial.
