Augustine Professional Office is seeking an experienced, dependable Bookkeeper with at least 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience working under experienced accountants.
This is not an entry-level position.
We are looking for someone who is accurate, organized, professional, and comfortable handling multiple clients.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Enter and reconcile accounting transactions
Process in-house payroll for small and medium-sized businesses
- Prepare payroll tax returns (Forms 941, RT-6, annual payroll filings, etc.)
- Prepare and file sales tax returns
- Work directly with experienced accountants on client accounts
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of recent bookkeeping experience
Experience working under experienced accountants
Strong understanding of reconciliations and payroll processing
Experience using accounting software and Excel
10-key by touch
Detail-oriented and dependable
Ability to pass a background check
Applicants may be asked to complete a brief bookkeeping/reconciliation skills test
Must live within 30 miles of St.
Augustine
No remote work
No relocation assistance
Compensation & Benefits:
$25.50–$28.50/hour base pay
