Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients accurately and safely, including pediatric and geriatric populations
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
• Explain procedures to patients to promote trust and ease any concerns
• Maintain detailed records and documentation of collections and procedures
• Adhere to safety guidelines and uphold a professional, confidential environment
• Perform specimen processing duties in both clinical and forensic contexts as needed
• Support process excellence and contribute positively to a team-focused environment

Required Skills

• Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric blood draws
• Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills in a retail or service setting
• Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks
• Effective communication and organizational skills

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; over one year preferred
• Two years of related work experience is preferred
• Schedule flexibility to include weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as staffing needs
