Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our hospice care team. In this vital role, you will provide personalized, high-quality care to patients at the end of life, ensuring comfort, dignity, and emotional support. Your expertise will help create a peaceful environment for patients and their families during this sensitive time. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, respecting their cultural and individual preferences.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain a safe environment by following aseptic techniques, infection control protocols, and proper handling of medical supplies such as catheters and DME (durable medical equipment).
- Assist with specialized care procedures including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospice or palliative care settings with knowledge of end-of-life comfort measures.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support techniques.
- Knowledge of geriatrics, memory care strategies, and working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health conditions.
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with compassionate communication tailored to patients’ emotional needs during hospice care. Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
