Carpenter / Building Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Rio Rancho Area
Pay: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Job Type: Temporary Assignment
Assignment Duration: Starts ASAP and runs through the end of July
Ōnin Staffing is hiring a Carpenter / Building Maintenance Technician for a client in the Rio Rancho area. This is a temporary position supporting the safe shipment of aircraft landing gear components by building custom shipping crates for domestic and international shipments.
We are looking for someone with solid carpentry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on small projects.
Job Duties
- Build custom shipping crates according to product specifications
- Use common manual and power tools safely
- Measure and cut wood, foam, and other materials
- Operate a forklift as needed
- Scrap unusable inventory
- Perform basic preventative building maintenance that does not require a licensed professional
- Manage small projects with little to no supervision
- Use required personal protective equipment
- Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and vendors
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Skills and Experience:
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Forklift certification preferred
- Carpentry experience required
- Basic building maintenance experience preferred
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, twist, stretch, and reach throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must be dependable and able to work independently
- Must be available for occasional overtime if needed
