Activity Bus Driver (CDL Driver with Passenger Endorsement)

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and responsible CDL Driver with Passenger Endorsement to provide transportation for school field trips and athletic events. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport passengers across various routes, ensuring a comfortable and secure experience for all riders. You will represent Trinity Academy, both to those riding as well as those you interact with as the driver (parking attendants, etc).

This is not a school bus position, in the sense of morning/afternoon transportation but is solely for activity usages (there is a difference in required classifications).

The position is ideally hourly, with drivers accepting trips that align to their schedule, but more permanent employment can be considered with additional duties based upon applicant skill set and Academy needs.

Responsibilities

• Interact positively and professionally with various stakeholders, ranging from students to adults.
• Safely operate activity buses, with passenger endorsement, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Transport passengers efficiently along designated routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Represent the Academy including the mission and vision of the Academy. This also requires agreement to the Statement of Faith.
• Conduct pre & post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking mechanical systems, brakes, lights, and safety equipment to ensure optimal operation and work with facilities team for any concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure passenger safety at all times

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement (P endorsement) required
• Proven experience in commercial driving, bus driving, or shuttle driving preferred; delivery driver experience is a plus
• Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues
• Excellent communication skills in English for interacting with passengers and team members
• Knowledge of paratransit operations, motor coach services, or school bus driving is desirable
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record per policy of any prior infractions

Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
