Job Description
Join our dynamic finance team as a Senior Principal Financial Analyst specializing in Cloud Operations. In this pivotal role, you will provide essential financial guidance through in-depth analysis, modeling, and forecasting to drive strategic decision-making and influence future business initiatives. Focused primarily on Data Center infrastructure, server and network rack hardware, and network connectivity, your insights will be key to aligning operations with our revenue and growth objectives.
Responsibilities
As a vital member of Oracle's finance organization, you will function as a strategic partner to OCI leadership, delivering insightful, data-driven recommendations that connect customer demand with revenue planning and infrastructure investments. Your responsibilities will include assessing demand signals, collaborating on OCI's long-range revenue plans (LRP), and validating data center capacity forecasts. This will involve ensuring that growth expectations aligned with customer demands are reflected in financial and operational planning.
You will analyze trends in customer demand, consumption forecasts, and capacity needs, enabling you to identify potential risks, opportunities, and mismatches between revenue goals and infrastructure capabilities. Working closely with Finance, Capacity Planning, Cloud Operations, Sales, and Product teams, you will develop forecasting models, conduct scenario analyses, and generate executive reports that inform investment strategies and resource priority decisions for long-term growth.
You will also monitor critical business indicators, enhance forecasting accuracy, and provide actionable insights to maximize OCI’s capacity to fulfill customer commitments while optimizing financial performance and capital utilization.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis: Proven capability in long-range planning (LRP), budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling in complex, high-growth environments.
- Demand & Revenue Forecasting: Expertise in evaluating customer demand signals, consumption trends, and revenue factors to create precise forecasts.
- Scenario Modeling & Capacity Alignment: Skilled in developing analyses that link customer demand with revenue targets and capacity planning.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Effective collaboration experience with Finance, Sales, Operations, Capacity Planning, Product, and Executive Leadership teams to achieve strategic outcomes.
- Executive Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to present intricate analyses and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Business Acumen: Comprehensive understanding of cloud infrastructure, technology dynamics in AI/GPU markets, or similar high-growth tech sectors with insights into financial implications of operational trends.
- Risk Assessment & Opportunity Identification: Talent for proactively discovering forecasting discrepancies, capacity constraints, investment risks, and growth opportunities while formulating mitigation strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, business operations, capacity planning, consulting, or similar roles.
- Experience in cloud, infrastructure, data center, AI, GPU, or large-scale tech business environments.
- Familiarity working with executive stakeholders in fast-paced, matrixed organizations.
- Proven ability to navigate complex business challenges and create scalable planning frameworks.
Salary and Benefits
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $102,300 to $209,500 per annum. Bonus and equity eligibility may apply. Oracle provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, disability coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off.
