Position

Java Application Developer

Location: Dallas, TX / New Jersey (Hybrid)

About the Team

Our Engineering team is responsible for building highly scalable, cloud-native enterprise applications that power mission-critical business solutions for Fortune 500 clients.

As a Senior Java Application Developer, you will play a key role in designing and developing distributed systems while collaborating with Product Managers, Architects, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions.

You will contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior engineers, and help drive engineering best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver high-quality Java-based enterprise applications.

Build scalable, cloud-native distributed systems using modern software engineering principles.

Collaborate with Product Managers to define technical roadmaps and implementation strategies.

Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.

Champion engineering excellence through code reviews, coding standards, automated testing, and best practices.

Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.

Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, and Documentation teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Build reliable, secure, and highly available enterprise applications.

Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across global locations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline.

8+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise-grade Java applications.

Strong knowledge of:

Core Java

Spring Boot

Microservices

RESTful APIs

Distributed Systems

Strong understanding of:

Algorithms

Object-Oriented Design

Design Patterns

Experience building scalable cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Experience working with managed cloud databases.

Proven experience leading development initiatives from design through production deployment.

Ability to mentor engineers and lead technical discussions.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.

Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra.

Experience with messaging platforms such as Amazon SQS or Apache Kafka.

Knowledge of cloud security principles and secure application development.

Experience with Big Data technologies.

Experience building SaaS platforms and customer-facing enterprise products.

Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
