Weekend Farmers Market Sales Representative — Part-Time

Whisker & Tail Co. is a San Francisco-based pet wellness brand creating premium, single-ingredient treats for dogs and cats. We are hiring reliable, outgoing sales representatives to manage our booth at farmers markets, festivals, and weekend events throughout the Bay Area.

This is an active sales role, not a passive cashier position. Previous face-to-face sales experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Proactively greet customers and start conversations
• Explain our products, ingredients, sourcing, and benefits
• Recommend products based on each pet’s needs and preferences
• Close sales and process payments using Square
• Set up and break down a 10x10 market booth
• Transport and safeguard company equipment and inventory
• Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive display
• Accurately track inventory and company property
• Represent Whisker & Tail Co. professionally and enthusiastically

Schedule

This is a part-time, weekend-focused position.

Markets are primarily scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays throughout San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. Assignments may vary depending on market approvals, events, and business needs.

Consistent weekend availability is required.

Requirements

• Previous in-person sales experience
• Reliable personal vehicle capable of transporting a canopy, folding tables, signage, and inventory
• Available most Saturdays and Sundays
• Fluent English; Spanish is a plus
• Confident initiating conversations and closing sales
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and comfortable working independently
• Comfortable standing outdoors for extended periods
• Able to lift and transport approximately 40–50 pounds
• Comfortable using Square or a similar POS system
• Professional references required before a final offer

Compensation

• $21–$23 per hour, based on experience
• Team members keep 100% of the tips they receive
• $50 performance bonus for any market shift that reaches $700 or more in net sales
• Short paid training session after the interview and reference-check process
