Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Residential Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming residential spaces through expert painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing touches. Responsibilities

• Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Using your own tools, Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using hand tools, brushes, rollers, or spray equipment such as airless or conventional sprayers.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics to accurately follow project specifications and color schemes based on visual color comparison and client preferences.
• Perform surface repairs including plastering, caulking, drywall patching, and minor carpentry like trim carpentry and fixture installation to ensure smooth finishes.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations including proper use of respiratory protection and other personal protective equipment.
• Assist with renovation projects by working on masonry, stucco application, framing, or restoration tasks as needed on construction sites.
• Use basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to paint quantities, surface area estimations, and project planning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential painting and production work with knowledge of construction site procedures and surface preparation techniques.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, spray painting equipment (including airless sprayers), and maintenance of painting tools.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction painting including respiratory protection protocols.
• Ability to identify color differences through visual comparison and apply color theory principles effectively.
• Experience with renovation projects such as plastering, caulking, drywall finishing, fixture installation, or masonry is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail with good communication skills; able to work independently or as part of a team on various construction painting projects.
