Job Description

The Perry Group is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager with extensive expertise in heavy industrial power and power plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives.
  • Prepare detailed work statements with associated budgets and secure approval from stakeholders.
  • Manage project costs to ensure profitability.
  • Create and review client billing in collaboration with the billing team and ensure timely follow-up for payments.
  • Continuously monitor project status and report on risks and issues as needed.
  • Implement change management processes for any project modifications.
  • Communicate deadlines, team assignments, and objectives effectively to all project members.
  • Design overall project timelines and in-house construction budgets by department.
  • Facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide support to engineering teams for reviews and problem resolution.
  • Coordinate necessary project submissions to relevant local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Ensure work is completed according to project timelines.
  • Review and forward file transfer documents to engineering personnel.
  • Coordinate and monitor the technical work of each deliverable.
  • Assess project documentation and deliverables.
  • Approve Engineering Change Notices relevant to the project.
  • Work with the Project Construction Manager during pre-bid meetings and compile bid results.
  • Conduct closeout and lessons learned meetings.
  • Prepare monthly project reports.
  • Create bid packages and administer addendums.
  • Store and manage project contract documents systematically.
  • Respond to RFIs and proposed changes from the field with thorough research.
  • Manage contract modifications effectively.
  • Assist and mentor junior Project Managers.

Compensation: The salary range for this role begins at $138,320 and can go up to $197,600.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least thirteen years of relevant experience.
  • PMP (PMI), CCM, or DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire or promotion to the Approved Project Manager list.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth design-build/EPC experience with power plant projects.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Expertise in project management methodologies, including budget development and control.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with clients and team members.
  • Able to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational abilities for effective task prioritization.
  • Knowledge of building materials and construction methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Travel Requirements: Travel will be minimal, estimated at 10% or less.
