Job Description
Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and educational standards.
- Create and adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Provide direct instruction and support in individual and small group settings, focusing on students specific learning goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate students into the general classroom environment as appropriate.
- Assess and document student progress, adjusting instructional methods and goals as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP documentation.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in special education.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Special Education, Elementary Education, or a related field;
Masters degree preferred.
- Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Experience working with students with disabilities and developing IEPs.
- Knowledge of various learning disabilities and effective instructional strategies.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and engage with students, families, and colleagues effectively.
