Hours:
- 6:00 am- 2:30 pm (Monday- Friday)
- Overtime may be required based on business needs
Compensation:
At S&C, we provide competitive and equitable compensation for all our team
members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated
hourly base pay rate for this position is $20. 25. This role is also eligible for
S&C's annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about assembly? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic
individual to join our Vista & Vista SD Assembly team. As an Assembler, you'll
be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.
In this job, you will assemble VISTA units and corresponding subassemblies. You
will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity,
and must meet requirements within time constraints. This is an assembly line
operation involving as many as six stations. Initially you will be assigned to
one station but will need to be flexible and open to working additional stations
as business needs require. Tasks require a high degree of eye-hand coordination,
manual dexterity, and the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a
full range of motion. You will frequently use hand and power tools; occasionally
work while standing on ladders; and occasionally work inside tight
compartments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble VISTA Switch, both on the assembly line and directly on the shop
floor.
- Identify, transport, install, mount and bolt all types of components (ranging
from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs. , with assistance), including bus assemblies,
high-voltage switches, mounting and support plates, lock assemblies,
- Perform mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and tape
measures.
- Have proficiency in the use of simple material handling equipment, hand
tools, power tools, simple gauges, instruments and overhead cranes.
- Operate simple machinery such as automatic Press machines.
What you'll Need to Succeed:
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical operations.
- Demonstrated ability to use basic shop math and measurement tools such as
tape measures.
- Ability to follow standard work instructions, assembly drawings, and
specifications.
- Knowledge and ability to use air impact tools and other hand-held tools.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment a plus.
Required:
- High School diploma/GED
Physical demands:
- Standing: All tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent
walking.
- Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile).
- Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.
- Pushing: Occasional pushing of motorized material handling carts with loaded
weights up to 1000 lbs.
- Pulling: Occasional pulling of motorized material handling carts with loaded
- Bending: Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes
and shapes.
- Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below
the knees.
- Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50
lbs.
- Other: Respirator certification required.
