Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and adherence to quality standards. Develop creative, seasonal, and appealing menus, including daily specials, in collaboration with the culinary team. Manage, train, mentor, and schedule kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Control food costs through effective inventory management, purchasing, and waste reduction strategies. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations in the kitchen. Maintain the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality control. Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to ensure seamless service between the kitchen and front-of-house. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms for ingredients and supplies. Develop and implement new culinary techniques and recipes to enhance the dining experience. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to kitchen staff in Seattle, Washington . Requirements Culinary degree or equivalent professional training. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Executive Sous Chef in an upscale or fine dining establishment. Proven track record of menu development, creative plating, and food cost management. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, global cuisines, and ingredient sourcing. Experience managing kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and performance management. Proficiency in kitchen management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
