Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner at various construction job sites. The Loder Operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed policies, procedures and operator manuals.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
•
- Responsible for the operation of a loader to lift and transport bulk materials at various construction job sites and to feed conveyors and/or load trucks
- Climbs loader, starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals and turns steering wheel to operate loader
- Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and driver loader to force bucket into bulk materials.
- Moves levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled and moves levers to dump material.
- Participates in making sure the quality and quantity of raw materials meets established standards
- Ensure assigned established performance indicators are met.
- Communicates with job Superintendent to report equipment issues to be resolved as promptly as possible.
- Always Adheres to all AEDC and OSHA rules and regulations and wears proper safety equipment while on all job sites.
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree.
- Exerting up to 100lbs of force occasionally, and/or negliglible amount of force frequently.
- Job involves sitting most of the times but also involves walking or standing for times when assisting the job operation on the ground when needed.
- While performing duties, the employee is regularly required to communicate and hear with other employees and/or GC employees as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment.
- Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls.
