Prep Cook / Kitchen Helper — Brooklyn Pizza (Lighthouse Point, FL)

Job Overview

Brooklyn Pizza at Lighthouse Point is hiring a reliable, detail-oriented Prep Cook / Kitchen Helper to become the backbone of our kitchen. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in consistency, works clean, and wants to grow into an expert position with a raise built in.

What you'll do:

• Prep all recipes to spec: sauces, toppings, cheeses, and ingredients for daily service
• Make and manage pizza dough (mixing, portioning, proofing, rotation)
• Keep prep areas, equipment, and the kitchen clean and organized throughout the shift
• Clean and restock the restrooms daily
• Collect trash from all stations and take it out to the dumpster throughout the shift and at close
• Support the line during rush hours: help make pizzas, pastas, wings, subs, and other menu items as needed
• Complete the full daily prep, cleaning, and closing checklist efficiently within your scheduled shift

Requirements:

• Valid Florida Food Handler Certificate (must present at hire)
• Dependable and punctual — the kitchen counts on your prep being done
• No task too small: takes ownership of cleaning duties with the same care as food prep
• Efficient time management: finishes all daily tasks and clocks out on schedule
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and occasional late shifts when business demands
• Team player with a positive attitude during high-volume rushes
• Prior kitchen or prep experience a plus, but we will train the right person

Pay & growth:

• $14.00/hour during training, plus a share of cash tips
• $15.00/hour once fully trained and certified as an expert on all prep recipes, dough, and kitchen support duties, plus cash tips
