Mortgage Corp. East (MCE), a trusted residential mortgage lender serving Massachusetts since 1988, is growing and looking to add an experienced Residential Mortgage Processor/Loan Officer Assistant to our team in Rockland, MA.

What You'll Do

As a Processor/Loan Officer Assistant, you'll play a key role in helping borrowers achieve homeownership by ensuring loans meet investor guidelines, company standards, and all regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing residential mortgage loan files for completeness, accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Evaluating credit, income, debt-to-income ratios, loan-to-value ratios, property valuations, and overall loan risk.
• Identifying and recommending alternative loan structures or solutions when appropriate.
• Reviewing underwriting conditions, loan exceptions, and deficiencies to determine the appropriate course of action.
• Working closely with loan officers, processors, brokers, and referral partners to move loans efficiently to approval.
• Providing guidance and support on underwriting guidelines, investor requirements, and technical lending questions.
• Maintaining compliance with all federal regulations, agency guidelines, and Mortgage Corp. East policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of residential mortgage underwriting experience.
• Strong understanding of agency guidelines, mortgage regulations, and investor requirements.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong customer service and computer skills.
