Summary

UNC Therapy Services, the outpatient orthopedic therapy division of the Rehabilitation Services Department at UNC Medical Center, is now accepting applications for a Physical Therapist II - Clinical Specialist at our new UNC Therapy Services clinic in Mebane, North Carolina.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced outpatient orthopedic physical therapist to help establish and grow a new UNC Therapy Services location in one of the fastest-growing communities positioned between the western Triangle and the Triad. The Mebane clinic is located at 202 Fieldale Road, in an established medical office setting above Graham Dermatology and near UNC Family Medicine, with convenient access to other healthcare providers, shopping, restaurants, grocery options, and major travel corridors.

The role is designed for a clinician with at least five years of expertise in outpatient orthopedics who is looking to provide high-quality, one-on-one patient care while also contributing to the growth and development of a new clinic. This position offers the opportunity to support clinical excellence, strengthen access to UNC Health rehabilitation services in a rapidly growing region, and help shape the patient and team experience from the early stages of clinic development.

We take pride in our commitment to one-on-one care with 45-minute evaluations and treatments, ensuring a patient-centered and personalized approach. This care model allows therapists to deliver focused, high-quality care, build strong therapeutic relationships, and support optimal outcomes, which is something many candidates value when choosing to join our team.

In addition to patient care, you will have the opportunity to participate in ongoing continuing education, mentoring, community and professional outreach, process improvement, and program development initiatives. These opportunities allow you to broaden your impact and professional growth by contributing to new clinical programs, quality improvement projects, and educational outreach within and outside of our team.

This role is ideal for clinicians looking to continue providing exceptional patient care while also helping build a strong outpatient orthopedic presence in the Mebane community. The position offers meaningful opportunities for professional growth through mentorship, student teaching, interdisciplinary collaboration, and participation in initiatives that enhance rehabilitative care across UNC Health.
