Fixx Energy is looking to add a Material Handler to our team in Smyrna, TN.

  • Full-Time
  • Shifts: 4 x 12 (Mon-Thurs) / 3 x12 (Mon-Wed) Day Shift, 4 x12 (Mon-Thurs) / 3 x 12 (Mon-Wed) Night Shift - alternating weeks
  • Weekend Shifts: 4 x 12 (Thurs-Sun.) / 3 x 12 (Fri.- Sun.) Day shift, 4 x12 (Thurs-Sun) / 3 x 12 (Fri-Sun) Night Shift alternating weeks

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team and play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for delivering a consistent flow of material to the production line, receiving components, shipping finished goods, and completing systematic transactions to effectively maintain an accurate inventory.

What You Will Do

  • Upon certification, safely and efficiently operate the Aisle Master lift, Hyster Narrow Aisle Turret truck, End Rider, and traditional forklift.
  • Verify the accuracy and quality of incoming deliveries.
  • Receive deliveries into the warehouse management system and put them away into assigned bin locations.
  • Pick and place products to support manufacturing operations.
  • Pick and label outbound products accurately and place them accordingly.
  • Load shipments on time, accurately, and according to AESC and customer standards.
  • Process returns by completing required documentation and communication to QA.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to locate packages, process deliveries and shipments, and move products throughout the plant.
  • Support the Incoming Quality Control program through the timely delivery of component samples.
  • Participate in the facility recycling program by removing scrap from the production line.
  • Sort, palletize and stage electrode packaging for return to our designated internal production site.
  • Receive returnable finished good packaging, complete the quality inspection sort, put away in the warehouse, and deliver to production line, as needed.
  • Maintain accurate warehouse inventories through disciplined process adherence and working closely with the inventory analyst and cycle counters to complete regular inventory management.
  • Practice safe driving habits, conduct regular inspections, perform routine cleanings, and perform preventive maintenance to keep all material handling equipment in the best condition.
  • Support cycle counts and physical inventories as required.
  • Comply with all inventory management foreign trade zone requirements.
  • Maintain safe warehouse practices including but not limited to:
  • Verifying dock equipment is in safe working order (dock locks, levelers, doors, etc.)
  • Verifying trailers/containers are in safe working order prior to entering.
  • Adhering to safe operating procedures (horn, lights, seat belts, P.P.E., etc.)
  • And reporting any unsafe conditions immediately to your supervisor

Work Environment

  • Primarily an automated manufacturing plant with concrete floors, characterized by moderate noise, forklift traffic, and temperature-controlled environment.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions on the plant floor while interacting with employees, management, and suppliers.
  • Must efficiently and accurately perform all essential duties and responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, without posing a significant safety threat to self or others.

Qualifications

What You Need

  • 1 year of previous forklift experience
  • Must be able to stay on task with limited supervision.
  • Ability to become certified on forklift.
