Payment and Benefits

• Starting Pay: $180 per day, with opportunities for increases based on experience, performance, and safety

About the Operation

Our Fort Worth Local terminal serves as our primary logistics hub. Our Delivery Specialists manage a high-volume operation, handling a diverse range of deliveries and pickups across local residences, apartments, and industrial businesses throughout the surrounding Fort Worth region.

Our fleet consists of professional-grade step vans and box trucks, maintained for peak reliability and safety. These vehicles are built for high-density delivery routes, giving our drivers the maneuverability and capacity needed to meet daily service standards. No CDL required.

Job Description

As a Delivery Specialist with VBM Distribution, Inc., you'll be responsible for ensuring packages are delivered safely, accurately, and on time. You are the face of VBM to our customers, and your daily performance directly supports the growth of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Arrive at the Fort Worth FedEx terminal to pick up your vehicle and packages
• Organize your assigned truck and know where every package is loaded
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Operate delivery vehicles safely, securely, and competently
• Plan and follow the most efficient route using company-provided technology
• Handle and maneuver packages of varying sizes and weights without damage to packages, vehicle, or yourself
• Scan and log packages with integrity and honesty
• Provide exceptional customer service by being courteous, professional, and helpful during deliveries
• Communicate with dispatch to coordinate schedules and report delays or issues
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures
• Uphold a professional image and represent the company positively at all times

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must have experience driving box trucks or step vans
• Must be able to pass a drug test and DOT medical/physical exam (employer reimbursement provided)
• Background check required
• Physically able to carry packages up to 150 lbs (with a cart)
• Able to deliver at least 100 to 150 stops per day
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to verify it
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively
• Good communication skills and a customer-oriented approach
• Proficient in the use of technology

Work Schedule

• 5 days per week, with weekend availability required
• Start time: 7:00 AM
• Shift goes through delivery completion (typically 4:00 to 6:00 PM)
• Drivers are assigned one route, but VBM expects all drivers to work as a team to help complete all routes safely and on time by end of day
• Drivers will be on call at least 1 day per week during non-scheduled days
