Ann Jerkins Harris Academy of Excellence is a K–8 charter school focused on academic growth, creativity, leadership, and student engagement. We are looking for a creative and passionate Art Teacher who can inspire students through hands-on learning and artistic expression.
Position Summary
The Part-Time Art Teacher will provide engaging art instruction that encourages creativity, self-expression, and skill development for students in various grade levels. The ideal candidate is energetic, patient, organized, and passionate about helping students explore the arts in a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging art lessons for students
- Introduce students to various art techniques, materials, and creative concepts
- Create a positive and encouraging classroom environment
- Display and celebrate student artwork throughout the school
- Maintain classroom supplies and organization
- Collaborate with school staff and administration
- Encourage creativity, participation, and student confidence
Qualifications
- Preferred degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field
- Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Creative, dependable, and student-focused
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and administration
