$15.00/hour - EVENING PART TIME POSITION

The AFS Club is seeking a responsible, career-oriented, reliable receptionist with a cheerful attitude to join our team. As the first and last face to be seen by our members, you will play an essential role in creating a positive experience for our members, making them feel welcomed and contributing to an overall positive environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to learn, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to take direction. The AFS Club is a low-volume private member fitness club that is passionate about fitness and dedicated to providing the utmost customer service to our members.

This position is for the evening closing shift Mondays – Saturdays, so candidates must be punctual, professional, and reliable. This is a quiet, slow-paced work environment. As the front desk receptionist, you will be expected to greet and welcome members with a friendly and professional demeanor as well as be responsible for the overall smooth operation of the club entrance. This position is ideal for someone who has prior experience as a facility opener/closer and/or key holder and someone who thrives in a quiet, slow-paced work environment.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday: 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Saturday: 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm

*Schedule is fixed and recurring week to week.

Responsibilities:

  • Securely close the club according to proper closing procedures
  • Greet and welcome members upon arrival to the club in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer and screen incoming phone calls
  • Ensure reception area is clean and presentable at all times and stocked/equipped with all necessary stationary items and club materials (forms, etc.)
  • Provide basic and accurate club information in person and over the phone
  • Receive and deliver messages thoroughly to appropriate club personnel
  • Maintain club security by following safety procedures and controlling club access via the reception desk
  • Maintain cash register and ring up retail transactions
  • Restock merchandise
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness at the Club's entrance and other areas
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Minimum two years of customer service experience
  • Previous experience as a key-holder and/or opening/closing a facility
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
