We require 4 weekend days a month, options include: Every Saturday, Every Weekend, or Every other weekend.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify appointment details, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Epic or similar platforms
- Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, confirming insurance coverage, and collecting necessary documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Answer phone inquiries promptly, directing calls appropriately and providing information about services offered
- Maintain accurate medical records, including ophthalmology-specific data such as vital signs, medical history, and laboratory results
- Support optical services by assisting with laboratory experience tasks like lens measurements and basic optical adjustments
- Process medical billing and coding related to eye care procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare standards
- Uphold aseptic techniques during patient interactions and maintain a clean, organized reception area aligned with clinic protocols
Skills
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times
- Retail sales experience combined with retail math skills to promote optical products confidently and accurately
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and senior care clients
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
