Commercial Carpenter

About the position

Skillforce is hiring a commercial carpenter for ongoing interior work in the Richmond, VA area. You will install operable partitions, movable glass walls, and folding wall systems off shop drawings. This is precision finish work in modern, high-end office and commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Install operable partitions and movable walls
• Mount overhead track to the building structure
• Hang and align panels and glass wall systems
• Set doors, frames, trim, and finish hardware
• Work off shop drawings to tight tolerances

Requirements

• Commercial or interior carpentry background
• Comfortable reading and building from plans
• Steady with overhead work and heavy panels
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and check

Nice-to-haves

• Partition or movable-wall experience is a plus
