Role: The Labor and Delivery RN provides comprehensive obstetric patient care, including assessing maternal and fetal health, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
Responsibilities: Communicate procedures, administer medications, prepare equipment, assist in obstetric procedures, provide postpartum and newborn care, educate families, respond to emergencies, document care, interpret fetal monitoring, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills: One year’s recent L&D experience, valid RN license, current BLS and NRP certifications; preferred certifications include AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, STABLE, and ACLS. Must demonstrate critical thinking, excellent communication, physical stamina, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
