Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EHS Specialist to support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) operations at a rapidly growing advanced manufacturing facility. This role will assist in implementing and maintaining a comprehensive EHS management system across manufacturing, testing, storage, and operational activities.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in high-reliability industrial environments and brings a strong understanding of regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure safe and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Support daily EHS operations across manufacturing, testing, warehousing, and facility functions

Assist with implementation and continuous improvement of the EHS management system

Conduct facility inspections, safety observations, and risk assessments

Help develop and enforce EHS policies, procedures, and work instructions

Support Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), standard operating procedures, and emergency response plans

Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations

Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking

Maintain documentation required for audits, reporting, and regulatory compliance

Contribute to internal audits, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement programs

Support hazard identification and mitigation across manufacturing and operational processes

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and facilities

Assist with EHS reporting, KPI tracking, and safety performance analysis

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field (required)

Relevant EHS certifications (e.g., ASP, CSP, CHMM) are a plus

Experience:

A minimum of 3–7 years of experience in EHS within manufacturing, industrial, or technical environments

Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and standard safety practices

Experience with hazard assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, energy, or similar regulated industries

Familiarity with hazardous materials, chemical safety, or high-energy systems

Knowledge of environmental compliance programs and permitting requirements

Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 standards

Exposure to facility startup, expansion, or high-growth operational environments

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and reporting

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Technology Stack:

Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

EHS management and reporting systems

Incident tracking and compliance software (as applicable)

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in both office and industrial/manufacturing environments

Ability to use a computer for extended periods

Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Ability to walk production floors and access operational areas as needed

Occasional lifting of up to 25–30 pounds

Ability to perform inspections, including climbing stairs or ladders as needed
