Position Summary

The Baker is responsible for preparing, baking, and maintaining the highest quality cookies served at Pop Posse. This position includes mixing dough, baking fresh cookies throughout the day, maintaining food safety standards, and creating exciting new cookie flavors. We’re looking for someone who enjoys experimenting with recipes and helping develop a featured Cookie of the Month that gives guests something new to look forward to.

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare cookie dough following Pop Posse recipes and quality standards.
• Portion, shape, and freeze dough for future baking.
• Bake cookies fresh throughout the day to ensure the best quality and freshness.
• Decorate or finish specialty cookies as needed.
• Develop and test new cookie flavors for seasonal and monthly promotions.
• Help create and execute the monthly “Cookie of the Month.”
• Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product consistency.
• Maintain ingredient inventory and notify management when supplies need reordered.
• Receive and properly store ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and sanitary at all times.
• Wash dishes, baking equipment, and workstations.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Accurately follow recipes and portion sizes to reduce waste.
• Assist with prep work for other baked items as the menu grows.
• Work efficiently to meet daily production goals.
• Assist team members during busy periods when needed.
• Help maintain a positive, upbeat team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous baking experience preferred (professional or home baking experience considered).
• Passion for baking and creating high-quality desserts.
• Creative mindset with the ability to develop new flavors and recipes.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Ability to follow recipes precisely.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
