Certified Payroll Specialist

Trillium Professional is now seeking a Certified Payroll Specialist for direct-hire in Charlotte, NC!

Seeking an experienced Certified Payroll Specialist to oversee certified payroll, prevailing wage, and apprenticeship compliance for utility-scale construction projects. This is a replacement position with an immediate need. This is 100% onsite. The annual salary is $110k/year.

-The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience reviewing and verifying subcontractor certified payroll (WH-347 or equivalent), ensuring Davis-Bacon/prevailing wage compliance, resolving payroll discrepancies, and maintaining audit-ready documentation.

-Experience with LCPtracker is strongly preferred; comparable labor compliance platforms will be considered.

-The successful candidate will work directly with subcontractors, making strong communication, relationship-building, patience, and follow-through just as important as technical expertise.

-Experience with apprenticeship tracking, OJT hours, or IRA Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship (PWA) requirements is a plus but not required, as those areas can be learned.

-Candidates should have a strong foundation in certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance rather than IRA-specific experience.

-Initial recruiting efforts should focus on local Charlotte candidates; however, relocation assistance may be considered for an exceptional candidate if a qualified local candidate cannot be identified.
