Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Temporary Veterinary Receptionist to join our energetic veterinary team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the first point of contact for pet owners and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of our veterinary practice. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure a smooth flow of appointments, accurate record-keeping, and a welcoming environment for both animals and their owners. Responsibilities

  • Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently
  • Collect payments, process medical collections accurately, and handle billing procedures with transparency
  • Maintain detailed records of animal treatments, medical histories, and laboratory results using veterinary terminology.
  • Keep an organized reception area while adhering to safety protocols related to animal care and veterinary critical care standards

Experience

  • Prior experience in veterinary reception or administrative roles within animal clinics is required
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology and pet care practices will enhance your effectiveness in this role
  • Familiarity with laboratory procedures and animal anatomy knowledge is advantageous
  • Experience working with dogs and cats will be considered a plus
  • Strong communication skills confidently will set you apart
