Heavy Duty Master Mechanic

Twin Village Recycling is looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Master Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you’ll repair and maintain a wide range of equipment to keep our operation running safely and efficiently. If you enjoy hands-on work and problem-solving, this is a great opportunity.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM; overtime opportunities available

Pay Range: $40 - $50, depending on experience

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, braking systems, and mechanical components.
• Repair trucks, fork trucks, excavators, dozers, and other large equipment.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to keep equipment in peak condition.
• Inspect equipment, run diagnostic tests, and determine repair needs.
• Test and adjust repaired engines and systems to ensure proper function.
• Replenish fluids, lubricate components, and maintain equipment reliability.
• Keep accurate logs, work orders, and maintenance records.
• Order parts when needed and help maintain shop inventory.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all company safety practices and procedures.
• Assist with other shop tasks as needed (e.g., hydraulic repairs, painting, etc.).

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of proven experience as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic or equipment mechanic
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic tools, and measurement equipment
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and follow repair manuals, diagrams, and written instructions
• Strong commitment to safety
• Physical ability to perform all essential job functions

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training or apprenticeship
• ASE or similar certifications
