Quality Inspector

Precision Inspection & Manufacturing Quality Assurance

Hanahan, SC

$31.43 - $37.66/Hour

We are hiring a Quality Inspector to support manufacturing quality assurance by verifying product conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and design requirements. This role performs dimensional inspections, product verification, auditing, nonconformance documentation, and quality control activities using precision measuring instruments in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify product conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and design requirements.
  • Inspect incoming, in-process, and completed products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Provide objective inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation.
  • Perform quality audits, surveillance activities, and process monitoring.
  • Identify, document, and communicate product discrepancies and nonconformances.
  • Segregate and control nonconforming materials to prevent unintended use.
  • Perform preliminary review and disposition of nonconforming products.
  • Conduct product and process verification reviews with customers when required.
  • Identify recurring quality issues and initiate corrective action requests to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and support quality reporting.
  • Ensure regular and predictable attendance to support production and inspection schedules.

Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship Required by Federal Law
  • High school diploma or GED with one (1) or more years of related quality inspection experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience, including vocational training or an Associate degree, will be considered.
  • Experience performing quality inspections within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments, including:
  • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Height gauges
  • Thread gauges
  • Other dimensional inspection tools
  • Ability to read, interpret, and verify compliance with engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience documenting inspection results, nonconformances, and quality records.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with corrective action processes and root cause investigations.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and manufacturing quality standards.
  • Experience supporting customer inspections or product acceptance reviews
