Commercial Sheet Metal Supervisor

Job Title: Commercial Sheet Metal Supervisor at Sunstate Mechanical Services

Shift: Monday - Fridays 8am-4:30pm (Some Saturdays dependent on job site)

Hourly Rate: $32-45 (Depends on Experience)

Location: Office Location is 2507 W. Erie Dr., Suite 103 Tempe, AZ 85282. This job does require travelling across the greater Phoenix Area (sites will vary based on the job)

Qualifications:

• You must be 18 years old.
• You must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• You must be able to pass a drug test.
• You must be able to pass a motor vehicle history check.
• For safety reasons, you must be able to speak English.
• You must have your own tool kit.
• A pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check are required.
• Able to lift up to 30lbs.

Key Responsibilities:

As a leader in our team, your role will include:

• Mentoring and teaching apprentices.
• Overseeing daily labor and productivity with clear objectives and timelines.
• Ensuring adherence to safety policies and promptly addressing compliance issues.
• Listening to employee concerns and guiding them toward effective resolutions.
• Reporting all work-related injuries and completing necessary reports.
• Completing daily paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Safely operating a company vehicle during work hours.
• Inventorying and tracking all products delivered to the job site, maintaining awareness of all materials at all times.
• Monitoring and tracking materials on backorder.
• Marking out/layout of all systems and products as indicated in contract documents and coordination drawings.
• Maintaining all on-site project documentation (Time Sheets, Daily Logs, Weekly Safety Reports, Photos, etc.).
• Fabricating and assembling metal structures based on blueprints and specifications.
• Operating various tools and machinery including forklifts, Cleat formers, Bar Folders, Shears, Roll Formers, Band Saws, Rotary Machines, Flangers, Notchers, Welders, etc.
• Installing, altering, fabricating, and repairing sheet metal products, equipment ducts, and hoods for HVAC systems.
• Performing stick welding and other welding techniques to join metal components.
• Leading and managing projects with moderate support from the project management team.
