Electrician Helper - Commercial

Overview

Florida Lighting Maintenance (FLM-Go, LLC) is seeking a hardworking, dependable Electrician Helper who wants to learn the electrical trade and grow into a registered Electrical Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, learning new skills, and building a long-term career in the electrical industry.

We perform commercial electrical and lighting work throughout Florida, including parking lot lighting, building lighting, electrical troubleshooting, underground wiring, sign lighting, EV charger installations, and other commercial electrical projects.

This is not a desk job. Most work is performed outdoors in the Florida heat, and applicants must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions.

What You'll Do

• Assist electricians with commercial electrical installations and repairs
• Load, unload, and organize materials and tools
• Dig trenches and assist with underground electrical work
• Assist with pole lighting, parking lot lighting, and exterior electrical systems
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Learn electrical codes, installation methods, and troubleshooting techniques
• Travel to job sites throughout our service area

Requirements

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Dependable transportation and reliable attendance
• Ability to work outdoors in the Florida heat and weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
• Ability to work on ladders and around aerial equipment
• Strong work ethic and willingness to take direction
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Construction or electrical experience is a plus but not required
