Chief Accounting Officer (Divisional)

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Chief Accounting Officer (Divisional) to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $250,000 to $275,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee global accounting operations, including consolidation of results across multiple international entities.
• Lead financial planning activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Partner with operational teams to evaluate performance, improve efficiency, and optimize financial outcomes.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate audit activities and act as a primary contact for internal and external audit partners.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with advanced education.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in senior finance and accounting leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of global accounting practices, including multi currency reporting and compliance standards.
• Previous experience working in complex, multi entity environments with exposure to operational finance functions.
• Familiarity with enterprise accounting systems and financial consolidation platforms.

Qualifications

• Certified public accountant credential.
• Proven leadership ability to work across multiple teams and influence executive level decision making.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication skills to present financial insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Prior experience driving process improvements, system enhancements, and organizational change.
