Housekeeper
Define the roles and responsibilities of the Housekeeper within a long-term care facility. Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.
Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures. towel bars, towel dispensers.
Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents.
Use supplies and equipment in a safe manner by following the user manual instructions.
Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner.
Notify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns.
Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies are needing replenished.
Excellent customer skills and positive attitude.
Minimum requirement to perform the essential functions of this position is a High School Diploma or a GED. Experience working in a long-term care facility preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Fluent in written and spoken English.
