Director of General Accounting

Directing the day-to-day operations of General Accounting and Disbursements, the full-time salaried Director of General Accounting will oversee General Ledger activity, manage cash disbursements, and collaborate with the Controller to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, all while telecommuting. Key responsibilities Plans and organizes financial operations, assisting in the development of accounting policies and internal controls Provides leadership and training to the Accounting Team while overseeing cash disbursements through Payroll and Accounts Payable Coordinates external audits, prepares tax returns, and manages the optimization of ERP and GL systems for efficient processes Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting management roles Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards Experience with ERP systems and financial software Proven track record in leading teams and managing complex financial operations
