Solution Director – Cost Takeout & Technology Transformation

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solution Director to lead and shape complex Cost Takeout and Technology Transformation engagements for enterprise clients. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, technology modernization, operational excellence, and AI-driven transformation.

The successful candidate will help organizations identify, quantify, and deliver sustainable cost efficiencies while simultaneously creating platforms for future growth. Unlike traditional IT cost reduction programs, our focus is on technical transformation that improves margins, accelerates revenue opportunities, and enables long-term competitive advantage through automation, cloud modernization, platform simplification, AI, and operating model redesign.

The Solution Director will be responsible for developing transformation strategies, leading client conversations, shaping commercial opportunities, and overseeing delivery of large-scale transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Solution Leadership

Lead executive-level discussions around cost optimization, technology strategy, and business transformation.

Develop compelling transformation narratives that link technology investments to business outcomes.

Diagnose cost drivers, technical debt, operational inefficiencies, and legacy constraints across client environments.

Build business cases demonstrating measurable cost takeout, productivity improvements, and growth enablement.

Cost Takeout & Value Realization

Identify opportunities for:

Application rationalization

Infrastructure optimization

Cloud transformation

Automation and AI adoption

Operating model redesign

Vendor and platform consolidation

Process simplification and digitization

Define transformation roadmaps with quantified financial benefits.

Establish value tracking mechanisms and realization frameworks.

Technology Transformation

Lead modernization initiatives across enterprise technology landscapes.

Design target-state architectures aligned to business objectives.

Advise clients on emerging technologies including:

Generative AI

Intelligent Automation

Cloud-native platforms

Data and analytics modernization

Digital operating models

Support enterprise-wide transformation programs from strategy through execution.

Business Development & Opportunity Shaping

Partner with sales and account teams to identify and develop new opportunities.

Lead solution development for complex pursuits and RFP responses.

Create executive presentations, transformation proposals, and investment cases.

Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions.

Leadership & Delivery Oversight

Lead multidisciplinary teams across consulting, architecture, engineering, operations, and change management.

Provide executive governance throughout transformation programs.

Manage stakeholder relationships across C-suite, technology, operations, and finance functions.

Coach and mentor consultants and solution leaders.

Experience & Qualifications

12+ years of experience in consulting, technology transformation, enterprise architecture, or operational transformation.

Proven track record leading large-scale cost optimization and modernization programs.

Experience developing executive-level business cases and transformation roadmaps.

Strong understanding of cloud, automation, AI, application modernization, and technology operating models.

Experience working with C-suite stakeholders and large enterprise organizations.

Strong commercial acumen and business development capability.
