Cashier/Sales Associate

Overview

We also would like to hire someone for weekends at our new location. We would start both hires at the store in Goddard for training before moving one to store 2 at 2628 E 21st N Wichita, KS.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately during transactions.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and resolving any issues.
• Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and drive sales.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising practices.
• Assist in stocking shelves and ensuring products are readily available for customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations to inform customers about new items or promotions.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
• Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
• Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash management and retail math calculations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective customer interaction.

• Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus, including knowledge of stocking and merchandising techniques.
