About the Role

Russell Tobin is seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Assistant to support day-to-day Human Resources operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, managing multiple priorities, and providing administrative support across a variety of HR functions.

The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee records, payroll, and general HR administration.

📍 Location: Oak Creek, WI

💼 Schedule: On-site | Full-time

📅 Duration: Contract

💰 Pay Rate: $24.00$ --- $25.00

Responsibilities

  • Assist with full-cycle recruitment, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and update HR databases.
  • Process new hire onboarding and employee offboarding paperwork.
  • Support HR processes related to transfers, promotions, terminations, and disciplinary actions while ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, attendance, and time-off requests.
  • Assist with payroll and benefits administration, including benefit enrollment verification and invoice audits.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and performance management activities.
  • Coordinate company meetings, employee events, and recognition programs.
  • Ensure HR practices remain compliant with applicable labor laws and company policies.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources or an administrative support role.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Positive attitude with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • HRCI and/or SHRM certification.
  • HR experience in a manufacturing or food manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting multiple shifts or multiple locations.
  • Familiarity with payroll and benefits administration.
