Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Mill Machinist role in Phoenix, AZ. Set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC milling machines to produce precision‑machined parts and components.
Select proper tooling, machine speeds, feeds, and cutting methods based on material and production requirements.
Perform precision measurements and quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
Monitor machining operations and make machine adjustments to ensure dimensional accuracy and product quality.
Troubleshoot machining issues, tooling wear, and equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
Maintain accurate production records, inspection documentation, and material tracking information.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production teams to support manufacturing goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with preventative maintenance and routine upkeep of machining equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent required; machining certifications or technical training preferred.
3+ years of experience operating manual and/or CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience holding tight tolerances and machining a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, and alloys.
Proficiency using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices is a plus.
