Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Cable Technician with a valid Connecticut (CT) license to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage cabling systems in various distribution center environments.

Job Title: Low Voltage Cable Technician (Distribution center environment)

Job Length: Contract to Hire (1+ year-long project)

Job Location: Naugatuck, CT

Start Date: Once cleared

Pay: W2 Format - Direct Deposit or Check weekly every Friday

Pay Rate: $25.00-33.00/hr pending experience/qualifications

Job Description:

  • Pull, terminate, test and label Cat5e and Cat6 Data cabling
  • Install Wireless Access Points
  • Work on boom/scissor lifts
  • Terminate data jacks and patch panels
  • Install ladder racks, networking equipment and telephone equipment
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of equipment and cabling
  • Build out telecommunications and equipment rooms
  • Any security installation experience is a plus
  • Follow and take instructions from site lead
  • Work on ladders/lifts as needed
  • Ensure job site is clean at the end of shift
  • Work in a quick and efficient manner

Qualifications:

  • Connecticut T-license or better is required (T2 is installer; T1 is business and permit etc; E1 electrical; or E2 electrical unlimited)
  • Prior experience terminating Cat 5/6 cable
  • Previous experience working in distribution center environments
  • Telecom hand tools and personal protection equipment required
  • Reliable transportation required

Upon meeting eligibility criteria, Verigent offers the following benefits:

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) – Eligible after 1200 hours worked

  • 401K – Eligible the first of the quarter after 90 days of employment
